Toy Gun

I continued my dive into sub-D modelling by modelling a toy gun from concept art.

After the initial modelling, I moved into substance to texture and expanded upon using smart materials by adding generators, filters and paint layers to add dust and metal edge wear. In this stage I explored color and material variation trying to achieve two different looks, one being a real gun and one being a plastic toy gun.

This project challenged me to model according to concept art instead of photo reference. I learned to interpolate, adapt and problem solve to best adhere to the concept art. It also allowed me to ideate and test out the look of different materials.
